Watch out for exploding animals! Animals can explode for several different reasons. When they die the decomposition of their tissue produces gases which can make them explode. In April of 2005, in Germany, a bunch of frogs exploded. These frogs puffed themselves up as a defense mechanism. In an overreaction to large flocks of crows that began attacking the frogs, they expanded themselves too large and popped.
