Weird Science

Dreaming prevents you from going crazy! In a recent sleep study, students were hooked up to wires that detected when the sleeping person was going into a dream state. At the moment that they were beginning to go into the dream state, they were woken up. They were allowed to get a full 8 hours of sleep but were not allowed to begin dreaming. After only three days, the students became irritable, had difficulty concentrating, and began to see things that were not there (hallucination). When they were finally allowed to go into the dream state (called REM which stands for Rapid Eye Movement) that made up time by spending more of their sleeping moments in a dream state than they normally would.

Lab Reports

Lab Monkey Report The lab monkeys filed a report complaining that they were greatly offended by one of the visitors from last week. They report that a mother and son were peering through the bars at the monkeys when the little boy asked the mother, 'Mommy, am I descended from a monkey?' to which the mother replied, 'I don't know son, I've never met your father's folks.' The lab monkeys are now requesting that all visitors be patted down at the entry gate.

Lab Rat Report The lab rats are complaining that the lab cats have purposely mislead them. There have been two lab rat deaths in two days, both due to suffocation. The lab rats claim the cat's suggestion that they place a plastic bag over their head after running on the exercise wheel is in no way allowing them to catch their breath. Instead, the lab rats believe that the plastics in the bag are causing an allergic reaction which they feel explains the red faces, bulging eyes, and eventual death.

Fun and Games

Juggling Scientific exploration and experimentation is hard work and can get pretty tiring after a while. Reeko knows what's it's like to work, day after day, night after night, toiling away at a complex experiment, repeating it over and over until you get it right, sweeping up broken glass after a failed experiment blows up in your face (happened just last week), explaining to the Justice Department that the experiment truly is for peaceful purposes (also happened just last week), sweating away trying to find that ellusive ingrediant that will perfect that cure for jock itch without the nasty side effect of festering boils (err... yeah, come to think of it, last week was a pretty bad week for Reeko). We all understand that every so often you need to just kick back, relax, and play some games. So here you go. Enjoy...

Ego the Lab Robot

Reeko’s latest experiment produced a result none of use expected. In an effort to create lab assistants, Reeko developed a robotic humanoid named R332. After the language function was installed, Reeko began to converse with R332 and quickly discovered that this new robot has quite an attitude! He was renamed Ego as a result. When not helping Reeko with an experiment, Ego likes to pull up a chair and chat with the lab visitors. Be forewarned – he’s can be quite a handful sometimes!
